Colleges and Universities of Fairfield County

Fairfield County is proud to be the permanent residence of some of Connecticut’s finest colleges and universities. Fairfield County is home to the prestigious private colleges and universities of University of Bridgeport, Fairfield University, and Sacred Heart University located in Fairfield. The renowned liberal arts college of Connecticut is Western Connecticut State University, which is located in Danbury. As for public colleges and universities, Fairfield County has more than its share with Baccalaureate universities and community colleges. Fairfield County’s Baccalaureate colleges and universities are University of Connecticut’s regional campus located in Stamford and Western Connecticut State University located in Danbury. The community colleges include Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport and Norwalk Community College. Other colleges and universities that can be found in Fairfield County are Fairfield University and Saint Vincent’s College.
